The researchers of this department are active on two main subdivisions of physics and geophysics. In the physics subdivision, the focuses are on the subjects such as optics and laser, particle physics, atomic and molecular, computational condensed matter physics and quantum information. In the geophysics subdivision, the focuses are on the two subjects seismology and geomagnetism.
